Spring River Resort nestled on the banks of the Hin Boun River is an idyllic getaway where the mood is unmistakably relaxed. The further you travel from Vientiane, the slower the pace of life becomes and at Spring River Resort you can physically feel yourself unwinding. Spring River Resort’s charming wooden bungalows set in a lush, tropical garden allow you to catch glimpses of traditional village life along the river and a chance to swim in crystal clear waters, paddle your own longboat, visit nearby Konglor Cave or simply sit on the restaurant balcony for the amazing views.

Spring River Resort’s Bungalow Rooms
Spring River Resort has 16 traditional-style wooden bungalows providing two options for accommodation; 6 Riverview bungalows and 10 Gardenview bungalows.
Gorgeous stilted bungalows perched on the riverbank blend perfectly into the surrounds, each offering a personal deck with stunning river views. The Riverview bungalows, decorated in local Lao style, have their own private bathroom and can accommodate up to 3 persons with the combination of one double bed and one single bed in each room. These rooms include a ceiling fan and breakfast making them a bargain at the price of US$40 for 1 person; US$45 for 2 persons; US$50 for 3 persons. When we visited in mid January 2018 the rooms were in excellent condition and super clean.

The cute Gardenview bungalows are neatly set in the landscaped gardens towards the rear of the resort but are nevertheless an excellent option (containing either a double bed or two twin-single beds) costing US$15 for 1 person; US$15 for 2 persons. Gardenview bungalows are easy on the budget with all the basics including a ceiling fan, mosquito net and small front porch with a chair. These rooms have access via a short walkway to a shared bathroom which was immaculately clean. A great option for the remarkable setting.

Spring River Resort is well signposted on Route 8 coming in from Ban Vieng Kham. Approximately 44 kilometres after the Na Hin (Ban Khoun Kham) turnoff, turn right into a signposted dirt road and follow this to the resort. We stayed two nights in this dreamy location and we could easily have stayed more. My recommendation would be to book in advance as Spring River Resort is usually well booked up. Have you visited Spring River Resort? Let me know your thoughts below.
